in case you didn’t know the movie 300 is based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel 300. i’ve read the book and i gotta say i’m very excited about this movie - even though Frank Miller didn’t participate in the making of this movie - it looks to be very accurate to the book just by looking at the trailer. in addition to this Frank Miller’s Sin City was done amazingly well and i really hope they didn’t / won’t screw up this movie by ‘adapting’ the book.

in case you were also wondering - the book 300 is based on the Battle of Thermopylae. at the end of the graphic novel Frank Miller states that he saw a movie when he was younger called The 300 Spartans.

i’ve got a love hate relationship with busta-bust in that i initially loved his stuff, but then his stuff started to sound all the same, but of late i’ve noticed that i really enjoyed two songs. here are the two videos + other videos i enjoy from busta.

another great hip hop artist - nas. i had known about nas in that i knew that he had ‘beef’ with jay-z (who i also love). but what i didn’t know was that he dropped out of school at 8th grade and self taught himself - he was also into drawing comic books! how can i not like an artist that’s into comics. in addition to this i always found his songs to have have some amazing flow, lyrics and of course i really enjoyed his range in songs. here are a few of my fav music videos from nas + his latest album Hip Hop Is Dead.

so it’s been over a year since i’ve gotten rid of my TV (meaning i canceled my cable) so i’ve been kinda out of the whole music scene. i only listen to NPR in my car and i really don’t drive much. most of my music i get from pandora.com. with that stated over the weekend i was looking after my sister’s dogs and while i was there i watched A LOT of mtv and noticing all these new videos i hadn’t seen.

now i love ludacris and was a big fan of word of mouf, chicken n beer and the red light district - but i wasn’t aware he had released yet another album. here are two videos i saw on mtv - love it.

okay okay… so justin timberlake has become one of my guilty pleasures… i say this in that i didn’t / don’t want to like him. he was part of that disgusting boy bad N’ Sync - and he did shed bitch tears during the episode of Punk’d when he thought he was getting everything taken away by the IRS… but of late he has been coming out with some impressive songs. so with all that said here are two of his vids from his latest album FutureSex / LoveSounds.
